HAHNVILLE — Authorities are investigating an auto wreck fatality that claimed the life of a local female.

Captain Patrick Yoes of the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to an overturned vehicle on River Park Drive in Hahnville at approximately 2 a.m. Monday.

Once on the scene, according to a release from Yoes, officers discovered the body of Bailee Winters, a 17-year-old female from Hahnville.

Winters, who was partially ejected from the vehicle, was pronounced dead on the scene.

The wreck is under investigation, Yoes said.
