Fifth-grade Student of the Year is Ravyn Monae Bazile, the daughter of Ryan and Robyn Bazile of LaPlace and younger sister of Rynae. Bazile received Advanced scores on the LEAP test last year. She is a member of the LES 4-H Club, a Gifted and Talented Drama Student and LES Tigerette Dance Team member. In the community Bazile is a student teacher and competition team member at Aimee’s Dance Academy, participates in the Missoula Theater and St. John Theatre’s Children’s Drama Workshop and is a member of Mt. Zion B.C. of St. Rose Liturgical Dance Team.
Eighth-grade Student of the Year is Chelsea Michelle Eugene, the daughter of Cardell and Claytanya Eugene of LaPlace and has three older siblings. She is a member of the LES Beta Club, as well as a member of the LES Cheerleaders and she has maintained perfect attendance at LES. In the community Eugene is an overseer at her church for the Youth Sunday School Class. Eugene also enjoys nail art, dancing, organizing her room and excelling in her schoolwork.
