DSNAP applications open this week for St. Charles residents

Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (DSNAP) applications open this week for St. Charles Parish residents affected by Hurricane Francine. Residents are encouraged to complete the DSNAP application by phone on their assigned day by last name.

  • Wednesday, Sept. 25 –A-G
  • Thursday, Sept. 26 – H-M
  • Friday, Sept. 27 – N-Z
  • Monday, Sept. 30 – Open to all
  • Tuesday, Oct. 1 – Open to all

Vulnerable groups, including the elderly and disabled, who are unable to apply by phone can apply in person at the Alan Arterbury Building (14564 River Road, New Sarpy) on Sept. 25-27 and Sept. 30-Oct. 1 from 8:30 am until 4 pm.

DSNAP provides food assistance to eligible households not enrolled in SNAP who need help purchasing groceries due to disaster-related income loss or damage.
