LULING, La. – The St. Charles Parish Department of Parks and Recreation, in collaboration with Ochsner Sports Performance, is inviting young athletes between the ages of 7 and 13 to participate in a specialized three-day Easter Speed and Agility Clinic. The event, scheduled for April 1st through April 3rd, aims to help participants enhance their speed, strength, and overall athleticism.

The clinic will run from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on each day, with sessions on the first two days being held at the Edward A. Dufresne Community Center in Luling, while the final day’s session will take place under the pavilion at West Bank Bridge Park.

Parents interested in enrolling their children can sign them up for one, two, or all three sessions, with fees set at $20 for a single day, $35 for two days, and $55 for the entire three-day clinic. Registration details are available on the St. Charles Parish Department of Parks and Recreation’s online portal.

The clinic’s curriculum has been carefully designed by certified strength and conditioning professionals and includes a variety of activities such as warm-ups, speed and agility exercises, plyometrics, strength training, as well as core, conditioning, and flexibility work. A key component of the training will be instructing the young athletes on proper sprinting techniques and the dynamics of changing direction efficiently.

This event aligns with the mission of the St. Charles Parish Department of Parks and Recreation, which focuses on providing high-quality recreation programs, activities, and facilities that enhance the quality of life for parish residents. Further information about the clinic and other recreational opportunities can be found by visiting the St. Charles Parish Parks and Recreation website, calling their office at (985) 783-5090, or following their social media pages on Facebook and Instagram.
