LULING, La. – In an effort to provide an enriched online experience and easy access to local recreational information, the St. Charles Parish Department of Parks and Recreation announced the launch of its new website, www.scpparksandrec.com. The new site boasts a modern design and user-friendly interface, created by Granicus, aimed at better serving the community’s needs and promoting engagement with the area’s parks and recreational activities.

The revamped website offers a cleaner, more attractive layout with larger text and streamlined navigation, making it easier for users to find information about programs, activities, and facilities. It’s optimized for mobile devices, ensuring that residents and visitors can easily access the site from smartphones and tablets.

Duane Foret, the Director of the St. Charles Parish Department of Parks and Recreation, expressed his enthusiasm about the website’s launch. “Our updated website marks a significant step forward in our mission to connect with the community and encourage participation in our programs,” he said. “We believe this new platform will not only enhance the user experience but also promote the benefits of recreation and leisure, contributing to a stronger sense of community.”

Key features of the new website include improved navigation, comprehensive information on available programming, and an immersive visual experience showcasing the parish’s parks, programs, events, and activities. The overhaul is in line with the successful redesign of the St. Charles Parish main website in August 2021, focusing on core functionalities and user accessibility.

The Department of Parks and Recreation is dedicated to offering quality recreational programs, activities, parks, and facilities that enable residents to improve their quality of life. Residents and visitors are encouraged to explore the new website to stay informed about upcoming events and opportunities for recreation in the area.
