Jeanette “Jeannie” Cashio, a native of Garyville and a resident of Laplace passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 24, 2024, at the age of 74.

Loving wife of Daniel Bruce Cashio and mother to Jamie Cashio and Courtney Cashio. Daughter of the late Nathalie Vicknair Ramirez and Erwin Ramirez. Sister to Mary Ellen Leingang (Ramirez), David Ramirez, Carol Wiedemann (Ramirez) and Alice Pruitt (Ramirez). Grandmother to Brynn Cashio, Beau Cashio, James Cashio, Sophia Cashio, Baylor Cashio and Jon Philip Antoon whom she adored. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jeannie loved her family more than anything. She was a caring, loving and wonderful wife and mother. She was a loyal and active member of St. Joan Arc Parish, always willing to lend a helping hand. She was a living angel who cared deeply for others.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at St. Joan of Arc Church in LaPlace on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at 11:30 am. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am until mass time. Interment will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Reserve.
