For over three decades, Cajun Comfort has been a trusted name in the River Parishes area for providing air conditioning, heating, electrical, LED lighting, whole house generator services and indoor air quality services. As the winter season approaches, the company stands ready to ensure that your home remains comfortable and well-lit during the chilly months.

One of their standout offerings, Everlights, is described as “Invisible by day, radiant by night.”

These permanent decorative lighting solutions are installed by licensed electrical technicians, and when turned off during the day, they are undetectable on the exterior of houses.

Keith L’Hoste, the President and CEO of Cajun Comfort, notes that with the holidays fast approaching and cooler weather on the horizon, it’s time to start thinking about decorating.

“Don’t get on your ladders, because we can put the permanent decorative lighting up,” L’Hoste said.

L’Hoste discovered Everlights when looking for permanent lighting options for his own home in lieu of putting them up and taking them down every year. Immediately, he knew it was something he wanted to implement at Cajun Comfort.

According to L’Hoste, the beauty of Everlights lies in their versatility.

“There are 16 million combinations that you can put on your house for all the holidays, and you can personalize for things like LSU, Tulane, or even a high school,” L’Hoste said. “You can make the lighting pattern go towards that specifically.”

The cost for Everlights typically runs between $20 and $30 per linear foot, and Cajun Comfort offers financing options to make the process more affordable.

But Everlights are not just for the holiday season.

According to Phillip Vacarro, Comfort Consultant and Marketing and Sales Manager, “It doesn’t have to be outside for Christmas. We’ve got people who put them inside and wrapped their game rooms and stuff.”

“If you’ve got an idea, we could probably do it,” Vacarro said.

For a limited time, Cajun Comfort is offering a 10% discount on Everlights until December 15.

“Everybody who has got them loves them because it’s just so easy,” L’Hoste said.

As the temperatures drop, Cajun Comfort also stresses the importance of maintaining your heaters during the winter.

According to L’Hoste, maintenance is especially important if you have a gas furnace.

“Carbon monoxide is a silent killer,” L’Hoste said. “You’d never know it; you just fall asleep and won’t wake up. So it’s critical to do that and to keep proper maintenance on furnaces.”

Vacarro adds, “For a lot of people, this may be their first winter after Ida that are still just getting their house fixed, and a lot of them have new roofs and a lot of new stuff done. They’re the ones that need to check even more because who knows what some of the people did.”

Cajun Comfort offers yearly maintenance contracts, ensuring that customers won’t have to worry about scheduling check-ups.

“If you have a contract, you don’t have to remember,” Vacarro said. “We’re scheduling to come out now and do all those things for you, so if you forget it’s not a big deal. The people who don’t have contracts wait until the first night when it’s 30 degrees, and then they want to call you.”

Cajun Comfort’s dedication to customer satisfaction and expertise in air conditioning, heating, lighting and more make them the go-to choice for many customers for keeping their home comfortable, cozy, and beautifully lit during the changing seasons.
