New in your backyard: Tourist Commission hosts quarterly meeting

GRAMERCY — The Louisiana’s River Parishes Tourist Commission is making a stop in St. James Parish for the third quarter marketing partner luncheon meeting.

The meeting will take place from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, September 21 at the St. James Parish Boat Club Launch, 39180 W. Highway 61 in Gramercy.

The Ferry Landing Two Vintage and Makers’ Market owners Marla Brignac and Mary Walker will talk about the handmade and homemade treasures inside their consignment shop in Lutcher. The new PJ’s Coffee location in Lutcher will also be highlighted.

St. James Parish President Pete Dufresne will provide an update on the new St. James Parish Multi-Purpose Building and other events taking place in the parish. Meanwhile, Maureen Gilly will preview the Louisiana Sugarcane Museum coming to St. Joseph and Felicity plantations.
