LAPLACE — Hosted by St. John the Baptist Parish and Louisiana Economic Development, the upcoming Business & Law Seminar is a six-week course that provides critical information to contractors about construction management and operating a construction related business.

Topics will include bid process; contract management; estimating; equipment management; scheduling; occupational safety; risk management; financial and business management; bonding/access to capital; certifications and available resources; and entrepreneurship training.

The virtual course will be offered October 2 through November 8, consisting of two-hour sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6 to 8 p.m. Registration opens August 21 and will run through September 29.

The Louisiana Contractors Accreditation Institute is a partnership between Louisiana Economic Development, Louisiana Community & Technical College System and the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors.
