LAPLACE — In light of the increasing frequency and intensity of natural disasters and unforeseen emergencies, it is essential for communities to be well-prepared to face such challenges. Innovative Approaches Counseling Center, LLP is joining community partners for a Hurricane Preparation and Disaster Kit Giveaway to equip individuals, families, and local businesses with the knowledge and tools they need to effectively respond to and recover from disasters.

The giveaway will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, September 9 at Destiny Christian Center, located at 612 Main Street in LaPlace.

Kits will include emergency food and water supplies, first aid supplies, a survival blanket, a disaster preparedness go-bag, important document storage solution, and a light stick. Community partners such as Entergy and the St. John Parish Fire Department will be available to provide disaster recovery information and giveaways.
