LAPLACE — St. John the Baptist Parish Schools, Tri Parish Kiwanis Club and Junior Achievement of Greater New Orleans are hosting their second annual College & Career Fair for St. John the Baptist Parish high school students.

The event will take place from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday, October 11 at the New Wine Christian Fellowship Gymnasium, located at 1929 W. Airline Highway in LaPlace.

Organizers shared the mission of the fair is to bring together local businesses, colleges/universities and the community to

provide students with the opportunity to begin exploring a range of career and college options for their post-graduate plans.

Participation in the fair entails setting up a table (table to be provided) with any information and/or displays to share with the students. Students will have an opportunity to stop by each table to learn more about the various colleges and businesses and ask any questions they may have regarding education and training required.
