GARYVILLE — My name is Anita Haley, and I’m currently running for Clerk of Court here in St. John the Baptist Parish.

I’m a lifelong citizen of St. John the Baptist Parish; calling Garyville in the Big Hope neighborhood my hometown. I’m a 1992 graduate of East St. John High School. I’ve worked with both the Parish Government and the St. John Sheriff’s Office; both very rewarding jobs because I had the ability to make a difference in our citizens’ lives on a daily basis.

I pride myself in being kind, compassionate, honest, professional, and hardworking. I believe in working collectively with others for the greater good of everything in life. As my slogan states … WE ARE BETTER TOGETHER!

Implementation of modernization and technology is a must; our citizens deserve electronic access to view and retrieve documentation as needed. Electronic access also brings forth transparency, accountability, and accurate record keeping.

Improving communication and developing collaboration with other Parish-wide offices such as the Sheriff’s Office, the Parish President’s Office, the District Attorney’s Office, and the Assessor’s Office is essential in running an effective and efficient Clerk of Court’s Office for our Parish as a whole.

Lastly, I plan to create an inviting and welcoming experience for our citizens when being serviced by the Clerk of Court’s Office. An elected official is expected to provide a level of respect, confidentiality, accountability, trustworthiness, and competence.

I humbly ask for your VOTE to be elected your next Clerk of Court of St. John the Baptist Parish!

Sincerely,

Anita R. Haley
