Kiwanis gets back to school

LAPLACE—The Kiwanis Club of the Tri-Parishes invited local children and their grownups to its grand ‘Back To School Bash’ to celebrate the promise of a new academic year together. The event took place at Chick-fil-A in LaPlace and featured giveaways including uniform vouchers, Chick-Fil-A Kids Meals, backpacks filled with essential school supplies, cotton candy and toys.
A part of the Kiwanis Club’s core belief is education and that every child should start the school year equipped, confident, and ready for the challenges and joys of learning. The event featured a DJ and its community partners that helped to make the day possible.
