Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

We are at that time of year again, where schools are opening. Our children are boarding buses, riding in cars and getting dropped off. We have no more planning time. This is the time to listen and take part in everything that involves our children during the school year. Let’s have a better year!
A school is an institution where transparency and accountability go hand-in-hand. It’s imperative that all involved are held to statutory obligations. The transparency in school administration shouldn’t be taken frivolously. If a school is transparent, people can be held accountable for their actions.
In a proper school environment:
* schools are accountable for student achievements and general conduct.
* teachers are held accountable for learning.
* the students are accountable for one another and their personal behavior.
Holding district leadership accountable will more than likely change the present issues (Crisis). I’ll continue to defend and show where accountability is on (Taxpayers) as well. We live here, the school children are our children and, again, we pay taxes; therefore, we must demand more accountability.
Connections are everything.
The old saying is true: “It’s not what you do, it’s who you know.” This is only true (should be) when the employee that’s been hired has the credentials for the job on a state and federal level.
Start collecting things as your children bring them home and whatever you request.
My Motto is “Document, document, document“.
This will be a very busy year.
Sam Cooke had a famous song stating, “A CHANGE IS GONNA COME.” We as taxpayers must stand up.
“A CHANGE HAS TO COME” in St. John the Baptist Parish Schools; it’s long overdue.
We must work together for improvements.
