The River Region Chamber of Commerce has been under the direction of great leadership. Our commitment to leadership development has been evident in the numerous programs and resources we offer to professionals in the region. Through workshops, seminars, and networking events, the Chamber provides opportunities for individuals to enhance their leadership abilities and connect with other like-minded professionals. This dedication to fostering strong leaders has undoubtedly contributed to the success and growth of businesses in the River Region. From the committee chairs and board of directors to our illustrious Executive Director, Chassity McComack, the longest-reigning director in our region for 20 years.

Leadership River Region is a ten-month program for current and emerging leaders that addresses critical issues in the tri-parish area. Participants learn leadership skills through lectures, discussion groups, and simulations, focusing on healthcare, government, regionalism, education, parish perspectives, and arts and culture. The program prepares participants for growth and engagement with their surrounding communities.

Program participants have the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions with experts and peers, allowing them to gain valuable insights and perspectives on various topics. By participating in diverse activities such as on-site visits and simulations, participants can enhance their problem-solving skills and develop a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by different sectors. This comprehensive approach equips participants with the necessary tools and knowledge to make a positive impact in their communities.
