HBAGNO August meeting to examine River Parishes housing priorities

LAPLACE — The August Home Builders Association of Greater New Orleans (HBAGNO) General Membership Meeting will be held Thursday, Aug. 3 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.at Riverlands Country Club in LaPlace, LA. Lunch will be served. This meeting is free to HBAGNO members; $10 for future members and members of the public who register in advance.

The following topics will be discussed to address the needs of members in St. James and St. John the Baptist Parish and resources the HBAGNO can offer:

  • HBAGNO achievements in 2023
  • Insurance crisis – flood & wind/hail
  • Legislative Updates from the recent session
  • John Levee Protection updates

 

The monthly HBAGNO General Membership Meeting provides pertinent and timely information relative to businesses across the metro area. Members’ and citizens’ needs are heard, so that HBAGNO may better provide resources to advance the building industry and better communities.

Featured guests will include St. John Parish President Jaclyn Hotard, St. James Parish President Pete Dufresne, and Valarie Hart, executive director of New Orleans Education League of the Construction Industry.

Founded in 1941, the Home Builders Association of Greater New Orleans provides members with continuing education, events for networking opportunities and advocacy to protect the home building industry.
