LAPLACE — As your next Parish President, I will offer you the leadership and vision to ensure that our entire community will uniformly progress by building a strong work-force and more jobs.  How, you may ask? By delivering on the following “Parish Improvement Plan”:
1- The complete automation of our commercial and residential permitting process.
2- Providing resources for technology and training to our small local businesses to allow them to generate more jobs, more revenue; thereby, generating more local taxes.
3 – Emergency Preparedness will be an absolute priority!  I will guarantee when a significant weather event impacts our community, the needed declarations, evacuations and notices will be issued within 72 hours minimum to all affected citizens within St. John the Baptist Parish, to ensure our safety and protection.
4 – Make gyms/tracks available for the youth.
5 – Provide job training for young people, as well as, provide summer jobs.
6 – Garbage pick-up and community wide cleanliness will be an absolute priority. As a community, you are paying far too much in garbage fees and taxes to be stuck with delayed garbage pickups and or missed garbage pick-up.  As your next Parish President, I guarantee you a clean community on the North and South sides of Airline Highway within the entire St. John the Baptist Parish.  This will start by ensuring that all garbage vendors, regardless of their relationship to leadership will be held accountable.
7 – Our levee seems as if it will never be constructed!  Can I simply say this … four years ago it was approved!  One question, where is it? Under my leadership, St. John will have a completed levee!  No excuses! It will be completed! Please vote Charles Julien for parish president.
