Hahnville –  Beginning Tuesday, August 1, 2023, The Department of Waterworks lobby will be open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. The lobby will remain closed on Mondays and Fridays, however staff will still be reachable by phone at 985-783-5110 or by email at service@scpwater.org.

During the new hours on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, billing staff will be available to receive and process same-day payments via cash, check or credit card. Residents may also drop off paperwork and provide information for other services, such as new service requests, account transfers and new installs, which will be processed on Mondays and Fridays.

“We appreciate everyone’s patience as we navigated difficult staffing shortages,” said St. Charles Parish President Matthew Jewell. “I am happy to see the Waterworks lobby expanded hours and I look forward to returning to normal lobby hours when Hurricane Ida repairs are completed at the main building in September.”

The Department of Waterworks will continue to service residents via phone at 985-783-5110 and email at service@scpwater.org Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
