St. Hubert Church hosts Independence Day Festival

GARYVILLE — On Tuesday, July 4, St. Hubert Catholic Church will host an Independence Day Festival at 176 Anthony F. Monica Street in Garyville, inside the Parish Hall.

The day will begin at 9:30 a.m. with a cornhole tournament. There is a $25 per player entry fee (blind draw). Cash can be paid the day of the event, or participants can Venmo @AmandaLaiche. Please include name and cornhole tournament. For more info, please call Amanda at 985-703-1110.

At 11 a.m. a chicken dinner will be sold for $10 consisting of a baked leg quarter, rice dressing, vegetable, salad, and bread. Homemade sweets, fried mozzarella sticks, French fries, hamburgers, smoked sausage poboys, hotdogs, nachos, Canes lemonade, and more will be for sale. Bingo packets will be available for $25 a packet at 1 p.m., and bingo will begin at 2 p.m.

At 3 p.m., pastalaya will be sold for $6 a bowl. Snowballs will be sold at 5 p.m. The Acoustic Duo Roy & Smitty will perform from 5 p.m. until 8:30 p.m., when the raffle winners will be drawn. Please bring your lawn chairs to view our fireworks display at 9 p.m. to end the festival.
