Over a Dozen Arrested in Multi-Agency Long Term Narcotics Investigation

Washington Parish – In May of 2022, members of the Louisiana State Police Narcotics/Violent Crimes Task Force began investigating the illegal distribution of controlled dangerous substances throughout the Bogalusa area. The investigation led to numerous subjects being identified as members of a Drug Trafficking Organization. As part of the investigation, detectives obtained multiple search warrants and arrest warrants for Drug Racketeering and Drug Conspiracy through the 22nd Judicial District Court.

On June 27, 2023, LSP collaborated with the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office, the Bogalusa Police Department, the United States Department of Homeland Security Investigations, U.S. Customs and Border Patrol, the Drug Enforcement Administration, Louisiana Probation and Parole, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to execute search warrants at seven residences.

As a result, detectives seized over $250,000 worth of luxury vehicles, over $6,000 in U.S. Currency, 7 firearms, over 10 ounces of Heroin, and various quantities of Marijuana, Crack Cocaine and Methamphetamines. Additionally, the following 13 Bogalusa residents were arrested on narcotics related charges:

Parrish Holloway, 42-years-old

Jimell Magee, 27-years-old

Brandon Morris, 40-years-old

Stephan Pigott, 60-years-old

Sheila Taylor, 54-years-old

Michael Spikes, 45-years-old

Stanley Roberts, 66-years-old

Brittany Roberts, 44-years-old

Melvin Fields, 66-years-old

In conjunction with this investigation, 47-year-old Karon Weary was arrested in Columbia, MS by the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics.
