LAPLACE — The River Region Chamber of Commerce is welcoming new teachers in St. John the Baptist, St. James and St. Charles parishes with goodie bags filled with donations from local businesses. A team will be pulled together to stuff bags and deliver them to each parish’s new teacher orientation events. The Chamber is requesting help with filling 200 bags with promotional items, fun goodies, and helpful supplies. This is a great opportunity not only to advertise your business, but also to show support for local teachers.

Items can be dropped off from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the River Region Chamber of Commerce office, 390 Belle Terre Blvd. in LaPlace, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday through July 7. This deadline will allow time for volunteers to prepare bags.
