TPSO: Stabbing suspect arrested

The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office announces the arrest of 41 year old Michael King of Ponchatoula, after he was identified as the suspect of a stabbing on CC Road Sunday morning.
The investigation revealed a verbal altercation ensued between King and the victim which eventually became physical. During the physical altercation, King armed himself with a knife and stabbed the victim in the arm before fleeing the scene.
Chief Jimmy Travis says King turned himself in to detectives on Thursday June 8, 2023, and was booked into the Tangipahoa Parish Jail on (1) count of Aggravated Second Degree Battery.
**All persons accused of a crime are considered innocent until proven guilty.
