Ford completes journey into the Holy Priesthood

LAPLACE — Eight years ago, Cory Paul Ford chose to enter the Seminary, to begin studying for the Holy Priesthood. Knights of Columbus, Ascension of our Lord, Council 9623, began supporting his journey into the Priesthood, on day one, in 2015.

On May 21, 2022, Cory was ordained as a Transitional Deacon, at the St. Louis Cathedral in New Orleans. On June 3, Deacon Cory Paul Ford, will be Ordained into the Holy Priesthood, at the St. Louis Cathedral.

Ford’s first mass as a Catholic Priest will be held on June 3 at 6 p.m. Mass at the St Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 529 West Fifth Street, in LaPlace. A reception will be held following the 6 p.m. mass, at the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Family Life Center, to the left of the Catholic Church.

Ford was born in Metairie, Louisiana, on May the 17, 1995. He was baptized as an infant at the Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church in LaPlace. AOL Church’s late founder, the Reverend Benjamin Piovan, performed the baptism. Ford also made his first Holy Communion and Confirmation at the Ascension of our Lord Catholic Church.
