ST. ROSESt. Charles Parish officials gathered to celebrate the ribbon cutting and official re-opening of IMTT Park Thursday afternoon.

The reopening marked the conclusion of a nine-month renovation that included storm-related demolition and added pavilions for shade, new sidewalks and bollards for the parking lots. Additionally, the batting cages were updated and relocated, and the bathrooms were enhanced with new amenities and paint.

“IMTT Park has been a vital part of the St. Rose community as it is a place where families gather and kids can play,” President Matthew Jewell said. “We are excited to have it reopened for all of our residents across the parish.”

IMTT park has two fields available for public use – a baseball field and a multipurpose field. It is located at 10668 River Road in St. Rose and is one of 56 parks and facilities that the Department of Parks and Recreation maintains across the parish.

DEL-CON completed the renovations at the park, and the total cost of the upgrades were $223,940.
