Cassidy Announces $15.6 Million in Hurricanes Laura, Ida Relief

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced that Louisiana will receive a total of $15,588,358.69 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in relief for Hurricanes Laura and Ida.

“Our communities are resilient despite the damage from Hurricanes Laura and Ida,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding will help Louisiana fully recover and prepare for the next natural disaster.”

Grant Awarded	Recipient	Project Description
$6,019,226.58	Southwest Louisiana Hospital Association	This grant will provide federal funding for emergency protective measures as a result of Hurricane Laura.
$1,098,322.05	Calcasieu Parish Sheriff Office	This grant will provide federal funding for emergency protective measures as a result of Hurricane Laura.
$8,470,810.06	St. John the Baptist Parish	This grant will provide federal funding for debris removal and monitoring operations as a result of Hurricane Ida.
