Keeping it Reel: SJSO hosts Kids Fishing Camp

Rods and reels are provided for the children.
Sheriff Mike Tregre was on hand to offer some fishing tips during the 2022 SJSO kids fishing camp.

NORCO — The St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office is excited to present its annual kids fishing camp from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 22.
The camp will be held at the Bonnet Carre Spillway Boat Launch near Norco (U.S. 61 at East Levee Spillway).
Children ages 8-15 are invited to register. Children under 8 years old may also participate if accompanied by a parent/guardian and supervised during the event. Rods, reels and bait will be provided. Children may also bring their own gear and tackle. Lunch will be provided.
Anyone ages 16 or older who wishes to fish during this event must have a valid Louisiana fishing license.
