Building a STEM community in the Gulf Coast

LULING—Project Lead The Way (PLTW) and Chevron celebrated  the release of “Chevron & PLTW: Partnering to build a STEM Community in the Gulf Coast”. It highlights the work that Chevron, PLTW and Gulf Coast schools have done to create a unique STEM ecosystem.

 

PLTW and Chevron have been partners for 10 years, focused on building a strong STEM community and developing young students to have the technical skills and problem-solving capacity needed to sustain the Gulf Coast’s STEM workforce. Chevron has supported over three hundred sixty Project Lead the Way programs, trained more than four hundred eighty-five teachers and engaged over seventy six thousand  students.

Last week Project Lead the Way (PLTW) and Chevron presented their recent Impact Study at R.K. Smith Middle School and visited Hahnville High School and Harry Hurst PLTW classes
