TPSO: Shooting Leaves Female Dead

The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office reports one subject is deceased following an early morning incident in Independence, LA.
Chief Jimmy Travis reports the shooting death of 40 year old Shircreasia Madison of Independence, LA, who was shot during a domestic dispute at her residence in the early morning hours of March 7, 2023. Chief Travis says Madison was in a domestic dispute with her live-in boyfriend, 28 year old Eric Harrell of Amite, which led to the shooting of Madison.
As a result of the investigation Eric Harrell was charged as follows:
– (1) Count Second Degree Murder
– (1) Count Obstruction of Justice
– (1) Count Convicted Felon in Possession of a Firearm
