RESERVE — The Louisiana High School Athletic Association announced the 2023 girls basketball playoff brackets this week. Several local teams will compete in the bi-district round by February 16.

Division One – Non-Select

• Destrehan (No. 13) will host Airline (No.20) in the bi-district round. A win would send Destrehan to the regional round to face No. 4 Zachary.
• East St. John (No. 11) will host No. 22 Salmen in the first round. If successful, the Lady Cats will face the winner of Wednesday’s game between No. 6 Denham Springs and No. 27 Slidell.
• Hahnville (No. 18) will play Neville (No. 15) in the first round for a chance to advance to the regional round against No. 2 Parkway.

Division III – Non-Select

• James (No. 20) will be the underdog in round one against No. 13 Westlake. The winner will play No. 4 French Settlement in the regional round.

Division III – Select

• The bi-district pairing is evenly matched at No. 16 St. Charles Catholic hosts No. 17 Northlake Christian. The winner will have to face No. 1 Isidore Newman in the second round.

Division IV – Select

• Riverside Academy (No. 15) will host No. 18 Vermillion Catholic at 6 p.m. Thursday, February 16. A bi-district win would send the girls to face No. 2 Northwood – Lena in the regional round.
