Kenner Police investigating armed carjacking; seeks help from public

On January 20, 2023, at 10:15 PM, the victim parked his truck in his driveway in the 3200 block of Appian Street, Kenner.
Shortly after parking, the victim was retrieving mail from the mailbox in front of his home when he was approached by a black male suspect armed with a handgun who demanded his property. The victim dropped his keys, which the suspect retrieved from the ground, entered the victims 2007 Dodge Ram truck and fled the scene.
Police believe a second vehicle may be involved and are asking anyone living in the 3200 block of Appian Street, Kenner, ๐ฌ๐๐ค ๐ข๐๐ฎ ๐๐๐ซ๐ ๐ซ๐๐๐๐ค ๐จ๐ช๐ง๐ซ๐๐๐ก๐ก๐๐ฃ๐๐ ๐๐ค๐ค๐ฉ๐๐๐ ๐ค๐ ๐ฉ๐๐ ๐๐๐ง๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ฉ๐ค ๐๐ค๐ฃ๐ฉ๐๐๐ฉ ๐ฉ๐๐ ๐๐๐ฃ๐ฃ๐๐ง ๐๐ค๐ก๐๐๐ ๐๐ฎ ๐๐๐๐ก๐๐ฃ๐ 911 ๐ค๐ง 504-712-2222.
