TPSO: Five Arrested After Early Morning Shooting Leaves One Dead

The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office reports five subjects have been arrested following an early morning shooting which left one subject deceased at a residence in Independence.
Chief Jimmy Travis says deputies responded to a report of shots fired with one subject hit, at an address on Crossover Road in Independence, LA in the early morning hours of January 18, 2023. When deputies arrived along with officers from the Independence Police Department, a black male identified as Jason Addison was found laying on the ground, motionless, suffering from a gunshot wound. Addison was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries the next day on January 19.
As the investigation developed, five individuals were arrested:
Mickey Bicknell w/m 36 years old:
(1) count – Second Degree Murder
(1) count – Failure to Seek Assistance
Jenavive Bicknell w/f 34 years old:
(1) count – Principle to Second Degree Murder
(1) count – Failure to Seek Assistance
Dylan Sullivan w/m 31 years old:
(1) count – Principle to Second Degree Murder
(1) count – Failure to Seek Assistance
Cody Reid w/m 35 years old:
(1) count – Principle to Second Degree Murder
(1) count – Failure to Seek Assistance
Raven Starkey w/f 23 years old:
(1) count – Principle to Second Degree Murder
(1) count – Failure to Seek Assistance
