Michelle Paula Penn Wesley, affectionately called “Missy”, departed this life on Thursday, November 24, 2022.  “Missy” was born November 1, 1972 to Michael and Daphne Penn.

Missy was a 1992 graduate of White Castle High School.

Missy married the love of her life, Darryl M. Wesley on April 19th, 1991. To this union two children were born; Darryl Jr. and Destiny.

Missy was an avid New Orleans Saints football and Golden State Warriors basketball fan. She enjoyed spending time at the ballpark and spending time with family and friends.

Her memory will be treasured by her devoted husband, Darryl M. Wesley, Sr.; son and daughter-in-law, Darryl M. Wesley, Jr. (Marisol), daughter, Destiny La’Chelle Wesley; grandson, Jace Bryant Wesley; parents, Michael and Daphne Penn; sister and brother-in-law, Carol Burgess (Mark); three sisters-in-law, Terryseta Luke, Melissa Penn, and Tiffani Johnson; three brothers-in-law, Deldric Wesley, Corey Wesley and Ronald Johnson Jr.; father-in-law; Ronald Johnson Sr. (Janice); nieces, Paige Penn, Catilin Penn, Alecia Monea Wesley, Ja’Miyah Wesley, Makayah Wesley and Korey Osborne; nephews, Brennon Hebert, Jonathan Penn, Jr., Dehaven Luke, Devin Luke, Kaden Wesley, Ryland Johnson, Reigh Smith, and Reyla Smith; best friends, Corey (Gene) Hampton, Tomika (Derrick) Houston, Cora (Troy) Johnson, and host of cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her brother; Jonathon Penn, Sr.; mother-in-law, Mary Alice Wesley Osborne; grandparents; J.B. and Galoyce Cox, Loma Melancon and Unice Penn; sister-in-law, Alexis “Lula” Wesley; and nephew, Haven Luke.

A visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in White Castle located at 31885 LA-1, White Castle, LA 70788 on Saturday, December 3, 2022 from 9am until 11:45am. Mass of Christian burial will be at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church at 12pm with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
