Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

In my years of dealing with people who have drug, alcohol, and other problems, the one thing most of them have in common is resentments that eventually lead to hate. Unforgiveness keeps many people in bondage. Pride prevents us from asking for forgiveness.

If you find yourself in bondage to anything and have a desire to be free, I pray that you have a forgiving heart.  If anyone offended you in the past and you’re carrying a resentment, I suggest you read the following written by Robert Muller:

DECIDE TO FORGIVE

Decide to forgive

For resentment is negative

Resentment is poisonous

Resentment diminishes and devours the self.

Be the first to forgive,

To smile and to take the first step,

And you will see happiness bloom

On the face of your human brother or sister.

Be always the first

Do not wait for others to forgive

For by forgiving

You become the master of fate

The fashioner of life

The doer of miracles.

To forgive is the highest

Most beautiful form of love.

In return you will receive

Untold peace and happiness.

With a forgiving heart you overcome pride and gain humility.  Forgiveness is the first step in solving any problem you may have.
