Kevin Paul Miano entered into eternal rest suddenly on Thursday, September 8, 2022 , one week shy of his 68th birthday. Kevin was a proud, lifelong resident of Garyville and faithful parishioner of St. Hubert Catholic Church. He was welcomed into heaven by his father, Sam F. Miano, his mother Leona Tamplain Miano, and sister Peggy Anne Miano.
Kevin is survived by the light of his life, his beloved companion of 18 years, Kathy “Noot” Oncale, his brothers Gordon Miano (Donna), Craig Miano (Linda), and his sisters Patricia Miano Louque (David), and Kelly Miano Kitners (Tom). He is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Affectionally known as Wideboy by his siblings, he loved spending time with family, as evidenced by the annual journeys to Virginia and Missouri, as well as the weekly Saturday night dinners after mass.
Kevin was a devoted employee at Evonik up until his retirement. To his friends “Pie-annie” was known as an authority on any topic. He talked passionately, especially about trains, politics, and purple martins. You could never have a conversation with him without his talking about his days at Boyce Machinery. While this is a huge loss to us here on earth, we take comfort knowing that he is with his father, mother, and sister.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Hubert Catholic Church, 176 Anthony F Monica St., Garyville on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation at the church from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Interment in St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve, LA.
