Hahnville, Louisiana September 5, 2022:
The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that occurred in the 900 block
of Gassen Street in Luling, on Sunday, September 4, 2022, at around 7:30 P.M.
Deputies were dispatched to the area around 7:30 P.M. based on the report of gunfire.

When deputies arrived at the location, they located a 21-year-old male with a non-life-threatening
gunshot wound to his arm. He was transported to a local area hospital for medical treatment.
Witnesses reported a dark-colored SUV with dark tinted windows ran a stop sign before slowing
down at the intersection and firing what appeared to be an AR-type rifle. Witnesses reported
hearing 20-30 shots of fully automatic gunfire. Two vehicles were struck by gunfire.
This is an ongoing active investigation.
