SJSO makes arrest in August 11 Airline Hwy shooting

Arrests have been made in reference to the shooting that occurred August 11, 2022 at a business in the 600 block of West Airline Highway. Through the investigation and video surveillance, detectives identified Deantre Lee, Chad Murray, and Alajuwon Snyder all of LaPLace as suspects for the shooting. Arrest warrants were obtained and all three males were arrested.
Deantre Lee, 24-year old of LaPlace was arrested on August 19 for the charges of Illegal Use of Weapons or Dangerous Instrumentalities, Illegal Carrying of Weapons, and Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property. Lee was released from custody on August 19 on a $25,000 bond.
Chad Murray, 26-year old of LaPlace was arrested on August 19 for the charges of Illegal Use of Weapons or Dangerous Instrumentalities, Illegal Carrying of Weapons, and Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property. Murray was released from custody on August 19 on a $25,000 bond.
Alajuwon Snyder, 28-year old of LaPlace was arrested on August 19 for the charges of Illegal Use of Weapons or Dangerous Instrumentalities, Illegal Carrying of Weapons, Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property and a Contempt of Court Warrant. Snyder was released from custody on August 19 on a $25,169.50 bond.

Detectives with the St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office are investigating a shooting that occurred at a LaPlace business and left two men injured.
On Thursday, August 11, 2022, about 9:30 p.m., officers responded to a business in the 600 block of West Airline Highway in LaPlace in reference to gunshots fired in the area. Upon arrival, officers canvassed the area, and no victims were located. Subsequently, officers were dispatched to a local hospital in reference to two male subjects injured during a shooting.
