Hammond Man Wanted for Attempted 2nd Degree Murder

The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s assistance in locating 20 year old Mikel “Kato” Lassare in connection with a shooting which occurred on July 30, 2022.
Chief Jimmy Travis reports at approximately 2:00 PM yesterday, deputies responded to the car wash on Club Deluxe Road near the intersection of Happywoods Road for a reported shooting. It was learned two juveniles were sitting inside a vehicle at the car wash when another vehicle pulled into the neighboring wash bay. A subject exited the second vehicle and approached the juveniles where he then opens fire, striking the vehicle multiple times. As the juvenile victims attempt to flee the scene, they become involved in a crash with an innocent party. No injuries were sustained as a result of the shooting, however, one of the juveniles was transported to the hospital with minor injuries following the crash.
Throughout the course of the investigation, two subjects were identified as the primary suspects in the shooting:
Tommie Alexander (b/m 19 years old) was located and taken into custody on two (2) counts of Attempted Second Degree Murder.
Mikel “Kato” Lassare is still at large and is also wanted for two (2) counts of Attempted Second Degree Murder.
