At approximately 11:00 a.m. I-10 eastbound at I-49 will be closed due to an overturned tanker on I-10 eastbound at milepost 139 (Grosse Tete) that contains hazardous materials. I-10 eastbound traffic will be diverted to I-49 northbound to US Hwy 190 eastbound. This is anticipated to be an extended recovery process. Troopers are urging motorists to utilize an alternate route as crews work to clear the scene.
