ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST PARISH — Troopers with Louisiana State Police are currently responding to a helicopter crash on I-10 eastbound at milepost 212 of the Bonnet Carré Spillway Bridge.

Information regarding injuries was not readily available, as this situation is still developing.

At this time, I-10 eastbound at U.S. 51 is closed. I-10 eastbound traffic is being diverted to U.S. 51 southbound. I-55 southbound is also currently closed and southbound traffic is being diverted to U.S. 51.
