SJSO seeks help for missing man

Detectives with the St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Juan Raoul Camargo of LaPlace.
On Monday, October 25, 2021, Mr. Camargo was last seen placing three duffle bags into an unknown make/model white pickup truck at his residence at 212 Bayonne Drive, in LaPlace.
Mr. Camargo does not have any means of transportation as he hitchhiked to LaPlace from Florida in search of roofing work in the wake of Hurricane Ida.
Mr. Camargo suffers from schizophrenia and bi-polar disorder, and it is unknown if he is currently taking medication for the illnesses. He is 5-ft, 6-inches tall, about 200 pounds.
