BERIA PARISH, La. — Get ready to travel to Magic on Main with a myriad of holiday events for the whole family during November and December.
November:
Find unique gifts for your loved ones at Iberia Parish’s farmers markets and Magic on Main holiday deals at participating merchants.
Bring the kids to the Grinchmas Holiday Market (Nov. 27, 2021) for shopping and a little fun with the Grinch, including a free viewing of How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
We’ll end the month with Sounds of the Season (Nov. 28, 2021) a free Christmas concert by the Acadiana Symphony Orchestra.
December:
Come December, Iberia Parish has a multitude of events planned to make this holiday season memorable.
Explore what the holiday season meant to both the Weeks family and those enslaved on the family’s plantations at Shadows Holiday Harvest Home and Garden Tour (Dec. 2 – 31, 2021). Travel to the Victorian Era when you tour the Joseph Jefferson Home decorated for the holidays at Jefferson Island Rip Van Winkle Gardens (Nov. 29 – Dec. 31, 2021).
The Iberia Performing Arts League will perform “A USO Christmas Homecoming” from Dec. 9-12, 2021.
Santa Sightings:
With all the holiday happenings around Iberia Parish, the kiddos will have ample opportunities to see the jolly man. Santa Claus makes his first sightings on Dec. 4, 2021 during Loreauville’s Christmas in the Village and the Delcambre Seafood and Farmers Market.
Bayou Traditions will present the Queen City Christmas Parade on Dec. 11, 2021 with a street parade on Main Street New Iberia followed by a boat parade and fireworks on Bayou Teche. Families can enjoy holiday events throughout the day, including a Christmas themed breakfast at Pancakes & PJs with Santa, holiday shopping at the Shadows on the Teche’s Christmas Craft Market, and a community scavenger hunt at the Greater Iberia Chamber of Commerce’s Very Berry Christmas Quest.
The jolly man will then follow the magical elf trail to the fishing town of Delcambre with a Boat Parade (Dec. 11, 2021) and Main Street Christmas Parade (Dec. 12, 2021).
With all these exciting events, the holidays are a wonderful time to visit the South’s merriest North Pole, Iberia Parish.
