LaPlace man arrested for burglarizing vehicle

Kendrick J. Scott Jr., 26, of LaPlace was arrested Monday, August 23, 2021 for burglarizing a vehicle in a LaPlace neighborhood.
On Monday August 23, 2021, about 6 p.m., officers responded to the 400 block of Maple Loop in LaPlace in reference to a suspicious subject in the area. Upon arrival, officers located a man matching the clothing description of a suspect captured on home video surveillance burglarizing a vehicle on Maple Loop and detained him. Based on investigation, the subject, later identified as Scott, was charged with simple burglary – motor vehicle. He is being held in custody in lieu of a $10,000 bond.
