Louisiana Children’s Museum and The Helis Foundation Art For All Program Free Admission Day – Sunday, August 8th

WHAT:  On Sunday, August 8, families can enjoy free admission to the Louisiana Children’s Museum, courtesy of The Helis Foundation. As part of the ‘Art for All’ program, The Helis Foundation will provide FREE admission to the Louisiana Children’s Museum (LCM) the second Sunday of each month through the end of 2021.

WHEN:  Sunday, August 8 from 11:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

WHERE:  Louisiana Children’s Museum , 15 Henry Thomas Drive in New Orleans City Park

HOW:  Free admission tickets must be reserved in advance beginning Monday, August 2 at 9a.m. at www.lcm.org  Tickets are limited. 

MORE:  New Orleans-based The Helis Foundation is a private foundation dedicated to advancing access to the arts and continuing a family legacy of philanthropic support to the New Orleans community. The Helis Foundation’s ‘Art for All’ program provides free access for thousands of Louisiana residents to several of New Orleans’ cultural institutions.

The Helis Foundation currently also provides free admission weekly to the Contemporary Arts Center of New Orleans, Ogden Museum of Southern Art, New Orleans Museum of Art, and New Orleans Botanical Garden, including The Helis Foundation Enrique Alferez Sculpture Garden. Families will enjoy the LCM’s indoor exhibit galleries and outdoor landscapes.

The LCM Museum Store will also be open from 11:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Acorn Café will be open for families to dine-in or take Acorn orders to-go!
