RESERVE — St. John Theatre continues its 2021 children’s programming by hosting the Missoula Children’s Theatre, featuring the fun filled show, “The Snow Queen.”

Beginning at 9:30 a.m. Monday, August 2, at St. John Theatre, Missoula Children’s Theatre will host a one-week children’s theatrical workshop. The workshop will take place Monday through Friday with performances of “The Snow Queen” at 2:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday, August 7.

Although set in a “land of colored ice,” this classic tale will warm hearts in its illustrative retelling by a group of fun-loving, imaginative hobgoblins. As they depict the journey of a young girl and her quest to find her best friend, you may just find yourself believing in malevolent mirrors, yetis, talking reindeer and snow chickens!  Blizzards can come at any moment, so strap on some snowshoes and get ready to discover what it takes to overcome chilling obstacles, keep resilience alive and melt down the Snow Queen’s icy walls.

Auditions will be held at 9 a.m. August 2. Pre-registration is required, and all are welcome to audition. Contact St. John Theatre for scholarship opportunities. Registration is available online at www.stjohntheatre.com.

The cost is $50 per child, and all children in kindergarten through 12th grade are welcome to audition.

This program is funded by a grant from The United Way and sponsored by the Fairfield Inn and Suites in LaPlace.
