CONVENT — The St. James Parish Sheriff’s Office is sponsoring a School Supplies Drive to donate back-to-school items to help families who are having difficulty providing the proper tools for their children to succeed.

Preferred donations include antibacterial hand sanitizer, antibacterial hand soap, binders (1-,2- or 3-inch), colored pencils, composition books, construction paper, crayons, glue sticks, Kleenex tissues, paper towels, disinfectant towels, dry-erase markers, highlighters, non-scented baby wipes, Ziploc bags (snack, quart & gallon), colored pencils, folders, tablets, erasers, No. 2 pencils and ink pens.

Please utilize the following drop-off locations:

• James Parish Sheriff’s Office – 5800 Highway 44 in Convent
• James Sheriff’s Sub Office – 2631 Highway 20 in Vacherie
• Matherne’s Market – 3251 LA 3125 in Paulina
• Winn-Dixie 0 1803 LA 3125 in Gramercy
