SCSO investigates New Sarpy shooting

The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a shooting that occurred on 9th Street near East Easy Street in New Sarpy, LA, just before 7:30 p.m.
There was one reported injury. The victim, a juvenile, sustained a gunshot wound and was transported to a local area hospital for treatment.
A person of interest is in custody, and there is no perceived threat to the general public
This is an active investigation and an elevated presence of deputies may be seen in the area throughout the course of the investigation.
