Ascension, Assumption and St. James guilty pleas 05/17 to 05/21

During the week of May 17 – May 21, 2021, the following defendants pled guilty to various charges and were sentenced in the 23rd Judicial District Court, parishes of Ascension, Assumption, and St. James.

 Ascension Parish:

 

  1. Kenneth Broussard, 45138 Manny Guitreau Rd. Prairieville, LA., age 25, pled guilty to Possession of a Firearm with an Obliterated Number or Mark and Illegal Possession of Stolen Firearms. The defendant was sentenced to 1 ½ years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on  1 ½ years supervised probation.

 

  1. Samuel Muse, 12013 Roddy Rd. Gonzales, LA., age 41, pled guilty to Aggravated Battery and was sentenced to 9 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

 

The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Kenneth Dupaty, and presiding over these matters was the Honorable Judge Alvin Turner Jr.

 Assumption Parish:

 

  1. Kailen Landry, 676 South Hwy 70 Donaldsonville, LA., age 26, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation.

  

  1. Manuel Fabre, 128 Cecelia St. Morgan City, LA., age 37, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation.

 

  1. Corey Packer, 504 Owens St. Napoleonville, LA., age 51, pled guilty to Distribution of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

 

  1. Jerome Lemon, 317 A Hwy 1003 Belle Rose, LA., age 59, pled guilty to Distribution of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 4 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

 The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Thomas Daigle, and presiding over these matters was the Honorable Judge Cody Martin.

 St. James Parish:

 

  1. Chelsea Boudreaux, 201 Rue Dubourg LaPlace, LA., age 23, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 12 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 12 months supervised probation.

 The above case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Bruce Mohon and presiding over this matter was the Honorable Judge Jason Verdigets.
