St. James Sheriff investigates Vacherie shooting

On Thursday, May 13, 2021, at around 11:04 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office received a call in reference to a residence being struck by gunfire. Deputies arrived on scene and discovered two residence and several vehicles being struck by gunfire in the area of Collins Street and Highway 18, in Vacherie.
The Sheriff’s Office is seeking any information from the public that could assist with solving this shooting. Anyone with information please contact St. James Parish Sheriff’s Office at 225-562-2200. Crime Stoppers GNO is also offering a reward, up to $2500 for any information that will lead to an arrest and indictment of any subjects involved in this crime.
