On May 12, 2021, after a traffic related investigation, Foster was arrested for Hit & Run, Reckless Operation and Overtaking of a School Bus, when he nearly struck a juvenile with his pickup truck while the juvenile was offloading from a school bus. Later that evening, Foster bonded out of jail on those charges.
On May 13, 2021, shortly after 3:00 p.m., deputies of the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Highway 90 in Luling. During the traffic stop, deputies came into contact with the driver of the vehicle, Jamie Foster, who appeared to be under the influence of some unknown chemical substances while operating a motored vehicle.
After further investigation, Foster was placed under arrest and charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated, Cracked Windshield, Driving on a Roadway Laned for Traffic, No Driver’s License on Person, Possession of Alcoholic Beverages in a Motor Vehicle, Proper Equipment Required on Vehicles, and Stop Lamps/Turn Signals Required.
Due to today’s arrest for DWI, an application for vehicle forfeiture was submitted and his vehicle was impounded by the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office. If convicted, a 29th Judicial District Court Judge may award the seized vehicle to the S.C.S.O.
Jamie Foster is a 40-year-old male that resides in Bayou Gauche, Louisiana.
