Hahnville, LA – The St. Charles Parish Department of Wastewater has hired a third-party company to perform smoke testing in Luling on Monday, May 10, 2021. While the testing is performed, residents could see smoke rising in their yards, ditches and roof vents. It is also possible smoke may appear in homes with interior broken pipes or drains that have not been recently used.
The following locations will be tested:
- Lone Star Drive
- Louis the 1st Street
- Badalamenti Street
- Cross Street
- Megan Street
- Willard Street
The purpose of the testing is to check for breaks in wastewater lines. This work is being done in connection with the first-ever parish-wide Sewerage Master Plan.
